Mitch Malone

After more than four decades performing throughout the Southeast, rock musician Mitch Malone is releasing his first solo single and music video, "Spider's Web," on August 28. The guitar-driven track, accompanied by an official music video, is the first release from his debut solo album, Dreams of Fire, arriving October 23, 2026.

Originally from Atlanta, Malone co-founded the 1980s rock band Shark Attack while in college, and the group quickly outgrew any "college band" label, touring venues, festivals, and arenas across the Southeast, through Georgia, Atlanta, and Panama City. Shark Attack played nearly 200 shows in all, including 55 in 1982 alone, sharing stages with acts including the Gregg Allman Band, the Georgia Satellites, and multi-platinum producer John Kurzweg. Malone co-wrote "Spider's Web" with Mark Vella and takes the lead on vocals and guitar himself, the first single from a solo career that's just getting started.

Blending the guitar-driven energy of classic rock with modern alternative production, "Spider's Web" draws inspiration from late 1990s and early 2000s alternative rock while carving out a distinct voice of its own. Dark, atmospheric and emotionally charged, the song explores emotional entrapment, inner struggle, and resilience.

"Spider's Web" is available on Spotify, Apple Music, and other major streaming services beginning August 28. The official music video premieres simultaneously on Mitch Malone's  YouTube  channel.
