Mitch Malone Releases Debut Solo Album, Dreams of Fire, Seven-track Rock Album bridges past and present through new recordings, fresh arrangements and collaborations

~Seven-track rock album brings decades of songwriting to life through new recordings and collaborations~
ATLANTA, Ga., and TALLAHASSEE, Fla.  — Rock guitarist, singer and songwriter Mitch Malone today released his debut solo album, Dreams of Fire. Blending classic rock influences with modern alternative rock, the seven-track album explores longing, relationships, loss and resilience through powerful riffs, layered guitars and emotionally driven performances.
The songs originated in the early 2000s, but their transformation reflects Malone’s perspective today. Rebuilt through new arrangements, recordings and collaborations, Dreams of Fire connects the experiences that inspired the music with the artist he has become.
“These songs have been part of my life for a very long time, but finishing the album became something much bigger than revisiting the past,” said Malone. “As we experimented with new arrangements and sounds, the project took on a life of its own. To me, Dreams of Fire is a dynamic history, like a diary of the past and present.”

The album’s title comes from a lyric in Malone’s first solo single, “Spider’s Web”: “My dreams are filled with fire.” Originally written to express romantic passion, the phrase took on additional meaning as the project developed, reflecting the creative drive behind the music. Malone also considered naming the album Back Where I Belong, a title that ultimately serves as its opening track and an introduction to the journey that follows.

The album moves through contrasting moods and musical textures. “Back Where I Belong” reflects on finding one’s way home, while “Morning Light” explores the perspective that follows periods of worry and self-doubt. “Selective Perception” pairs an ethereal, emotionally driven rock ballad with harmony guitar solos and a dramatic build. The closing track, “Lone Wolf,” brings the album to a hard-rock conclusion rooted in isolation and loss.

Dreams of Fire also includes the previously released singles “Spider’s Web” and “The Great Divide,” both accompanied by music videos directed and produced by Malone’s daughter, Madison Malone.

Working closely with recording engineer Joshua Booth, Malone shaped the album’s sequencing to reveal connections between songs originally written independently. A continuous transition from “The Great Divide” into “Selective Perception” underscores the album’s flow and invites listeners to experience the seven tracks together.
Malone composed the music for all seven tracks, produced the album and performed guitars, bass and synthesizers throughout. Joshua Booth recorded, mixed and mastered the album at Chestnut Mountain Studios in Cashiers, North Carolina. Contributors include longtime lyrical collaborators Brian “Daz” Wass and Mark Vella, featured guitar solos by Vella, drum performances by Wass and Booth, and vocal contributions from Matthew Oschmann and Madison Malone.
